Who We Help
ROMA Foundation provides financial assistance to individuals and families across rural North-East Ohio who are experiencing hardship due to any healthcare-related issue. Whether you're facing a new diagnosis, an ongoing illness, an unexpected medical event, or the financial strain that often follows, we're here to help ease the burden so you can focus on healing.
We support both individuals and families, and there is no specific condition or diagnosis required to apply — our goal is simply to help our neighbors through difficult healthcare-related circumstances.
How Decisions Are Made
Every application submitted to ROMA Foundation is carefully reviewed by our Executive Board. Each case is considered thoughtfully and individually, with compassion and fairness guiding every decision. While we wish we could help everyone who applies, our board works diligently to direct support to those with the greatest need.
How to Apply
To apply for assistance, please submit the following information:

Applicant's full name and contact information (address, phone number, email)

Names of family members included in the request for assistance, if applicable

Description of the healthcare-related hardship (diagnosis, treatment, or medical event)

Documentation of medical condition or treatment (letter from provider, hospital, or care facility)

Explanation of financial hardship, including how the healthcare issue has impacted income or expenses

Proof of income or financial need (pay stubs, benefit statements, or similar documentation)

Specific request or need (what the funds would be used for — e.g., medical bills, travel for treatment, living expenses)

Any additional supporting documents that may help the board understand your situation
